Hi, I'm Mereditha Brooklyn-based writera home herbalistfor hire

I write fiction, poetry, and brand stories.

About me

I love to learn. It’s why I love being a copywriter. I get to learn about new people, places, products, and experiences — and then craft it all into stories that come in many flavors. I like playing with words, seeing how they fit, how they move people. There’s strategy to it, of course, but it comes from some place deeper…almost unknowable. You know that feeling when something clicks? That part. Where does it come from?

For nearly twenty years I’ve honed this muscle leading creative and strategy teams at design agencies and tech startups. Now I work fractionally, leveraging my experience to help businesses connect with the right people while remaining in integrity with their mission and values. If you’re looking for support with this, I’d love to connect. Find my resume details on LinkedIn.

My mindset

Well-told stories drive connection = results.

In a world that makes it seem easy to hand-off content development to generative AI, it remains vital to layer in the strategy and storytelling that helps it all sing. This is how we create stronger bonds.

I use AI; I’ve worked on AI products — AI can be great for many tasks. It can help save time (though doesn’t always); it can help small teams do more with less; it can help synthesize data and recommend next steps based on smart, strategic input.

But it’s not a great storyteller. It’s not adept at finding the human truth underneath the data and weaving a tale that connects or converts.

Your story is worth investing in. I’d love to chat with you about it.

In case you're wondering...

You’ll find me happiest when I’m traveling the world, frolicking in the forest, or lost in a book. A budding home herbalist, I’ve been exploring my Celtic heritage through ritual, story, and community — and am slowly learning Irish via Duolingo. I write short stories, the occasional poem, and I’m working on the second draft of a novel.
